Mighty Oak

Established in 1996, by John Boyce and Ruth O’Neill, Mighty Oak beers can be found in many pubs in the

Maldon and Dengie district. All beers are available in minipins (18 pints) and polpins (36 pints). Specials need to be ordered in advance of racking.


Maldon Gold was CAMRA’s

Champion Golden Ale of Britain in 2007, whilst Oscar Wilde, Champion Mild of Britain in 2006, received the

ultimate accolade of “Supreme

Champion Beer of Britain” in 2011.

Several  “specials” are produced each month & a further twelve monthly specials to a theme which for 2017 is trees. Sets from previous years decorate their tap room, and may be available to purchase from the brewery.


The brewery owns one micropub; the "Tap Room" at No.10 High Street, Maldon, where a range of their beers are available directly from the cask.
